Coaching Staff

Eddie Long
Head Coach, Offensive & Defensive Coordinator

Eddie Long enters his first full season as head coach of the Rochester Raiders. Coach Long has an extensive amount of football experience as both a player and a coach. After starring at Greece Olympia High School in football, basketball, track and baseball, he received many awards and milestones including: Greece High School Athlete of the Year in 1991, where he was inducted into the first class of the Greece Olympia High School Hall of Fame in 1997, as well as the Section V Football Hall of Fame in 2004. Coach Long continued his football career at the University of Connecticut where he graduated as the school’s all-time leading rusher.

In 2001, Eddie was elected as a Team Captain for the inaugural season of the Rochester Brigade (AF2). He soon made the transition from player to coach in 2003 when he served as the offensive coordinator as well as the interim head coach for the Brigade. Coach Long joined the Raiders in 2007 as the special teams and secondary coach before getting named as the head coach midway through the season where he led the Raiders on to win the Continental Indoor Football League Championship. Eddie is currently a Unit Leader at the Hillside Children’s Center in Rochester where he provides administrative oversight for three units and is also an Assistant Football Coach at Bishop Kearney High School. Eddie and his family live in Rochester.

Raheem Miller maked the transition from player to coach for the 2007 season. He will be coaching the Offensive and Defensive Lines. Raheem played for East High School where he earned All Greater Rochester Honors. He then went on to Michigan State where he played in the Citrus Bowl. He was an Academic All Big 10 and graduated with a Bachelor of Science Degree of Science. Raheem teaches at Marshall High School where he also coaches football and basketball. Raheem lives in Rochester.

Coach Collins enters his first year as an assistant coach with the Raiders. He was the quarterback of the Greece Olympia 1997 Section V Champions earning 1st Team All-County and Eddie Meath All-Star awards. Coach Collins went on to play Quarterback at Division 1AA Iona College where he ranks in the top ten in most career passing categories. After his senior season at Iona, he played in a National All Star game in Louisville, Kentucky. Coach Collins is also the JV head coach and offensive coordinator at Greece Olympia and works as an elementary teacher.
